paradis collections in conversation with Natalija Počuča, scenographer and floral designer

Natalija, tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a scenographer, stylist, and floral designer based in Zurich. In 2016, I founded my own studio called "Raum in Szene," where I develop floral installations, interior styling, and scenographic concepts. My work follows a poetic, sensual approach—I design spaces that are emotionally touching, minimalist yet expressive, often in harmony with nature or the rhythm of time.

You designed the installation " tender & familiar" for our boutique . What inspired you, and how did you approach the process?
As I often do, I went for a walk in nature, or rather, an inspection, observing how form and color interact. It quickly became clear to me that it had to be something hanging, with a shape and perhaps even something that could be divided into pieces. So I came up with ivy branches and used them to create a basic structure. Another important consideration was time, or rather durability. I actually wanted to use tulips and show the wilting process (I think tulips dry the most beautifully), but unfortunately, there are no more tulips available. So I opted for celosia and limonium.

Where do you generally get inspiration for your work?
From nature. And by chance, I was in Paris in April; that city always inspires me!

What connects you and paradis collections, what appeals to you about the fashion brand?
Paradis Collections appeals to me with its blend of naturalness and sophistication. It embodies an aesthetic that is both timeless and modern—qualities I also strive for in my work.

Which elements do you mainly work with?
I like working with a variety of florals, so there isn't one that's specific to me - on the contrary, depending on the project, I find myself fascinated by something I wouldn't have thought of before.

What kind of clothing accompanies you through the day?
Pragmatic clothing, comfortable, and easy to wash. Working with florals is beautiful, but it also leaves its mark.

Your work is very creative. Does the creative process also pose any challenges?
The middle part is the hardest. Even if you know things are getting better, you just have to persevere. I usually listen to music at full volume on a loop; that helps.

What do you think happens when florals and fashion meet?
A strong sense of unity: The interplay of colors, textures and patterns has an incomparable energy and emotional depth.

What is the most beautiful and important piece of life wisdom you have ever received?
Always keep the little child inside you and stay curious in that way.

Do you have a favorite place in Zurich?
Yes, my studio at Susanna-Gossweiler-Platz.
